Charlie Cox Talks DAREDEVIL

Actor Charlie Cox was battling a case of food poisoning last night but still appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote Marvel’s Daredevil collaboration with Netflix.
Here’s what he said:

Charlie explains Daredevil to Letterman.
“It’s a new collaboration between Marvel and Netflix.  And Daredevil is one of the most beloved superheroes.  He’s blind, which is interesting – his disability is his strength.  As a 9-year-old boy, he was blinded in  a road accident where he was saving an old man crossing the street.  There was a chemical spillage that went into his eyes and the byproduct of that accident is that his senses were heightened to such a degree that he can operate better than a seeing-person. “

On how the Netflix-model will benefit the show.
“We’re very much encouraged to talk about binge-watching.  I think [binge-watching] increases viewership.  It seems to be a proven model with the way people like to watch television these days.  They like to choose how many episodes they watch and when they watch them. “

Will there be more Daredevil?
“I don’t know, I hope so.  They’re going to release the first 13 on April 10 at 12:01 AM.  If everyone watches it, binge-watches it…..”

MARVEL’S DAREDEVIL stars Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio. Steven S. DeKnight served as executive producer in addition to writing and directing the series finale. Drew Goddard contributed to the story before departing the project for Sony’s Sinister Six film. Christos Gage, Ruth Gage, Luke Kalteux and Douglas Petrie also wrote additional episodes. Daredevil will be released on April 10.

Dwayne Johnson Talks Why He Wanted To Play BLACK ADAM

http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1
Talking to Digital Spy in the video interview above to promote Furious 7, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reveals why he decided to choose the role of Black Adam over Shazam in the 2019 movie. “Because I felt ultimately, and this is with all due respect to Shazam/Billy Batson, it’s a mythology that I love; it’s been with me for almost ten years now; what made me choose Black Adam? I just felt Black Adam was inherently more interesting to me because I felt there were more layers to Black Adam starting out as a slave and then ultimately becoming the anti-hero who we enjoy today.” To hear even more from the actor (including how fans influenced his decision), keep watching the video.

Scott Eastwood To Play ‘Steve Trevor’ In SUICIDE SQUAD

According to Latino-Review, they’ve learned that Scott Eastwood will make a cameo appearance as Steve Trevor in Suicide Squad.

In “The New 52”, he’s part of A.R.G.U.S. and plays a key role in helping Wonder Woman acclimate to her new surroundings. They also have a brief romance which obviously didn’t end particularly well what with Diana now being in a relationship with Superman! Regardless, Eastwood playing must be playing the character here in order to set up a bigger role in Wonder Woman, and you have to wonder just how much of a part both A.R.G.U.S. and Amanda Waller will play in that and Justice League.

The site adds that Raymond Olubowale will have a minor role as a member of Waller’s security team and that he’ll also be providing  motion capture in order to bring King Shark to life!

Hayley Atwell Wishes UK To Get AGENT CARTER

Hayley Atwell (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) attended the 2015 Jameson Empire Awards and presented the award for best Male Newcomer. While she was there she was asked about the status of Agent Carter airing in the UK.

“I think it will later on in the year,” Hayley Atwell said. “There is a really chance that the UK is going to get it. There must be a slight bidding war for the channel at the moment. Fingers crossed it won’t be too long.”
All 8 episode of Marvel’s Agent Carter mini-series have aired stateside on ABC, but for fans across the pond they’ll have to hold their breathe as the show doesn’t currently have a UK broadcaster. The UK’s Channel 4, which aired Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., already said they have no interest in acquiring the rights to Agent Carter.
Listen to Hayley’s comments on Agent Carter in the video below, starting at the 2-minute mark.

New DAREDEVIL Character Posters

With it’s premiere date just under two weeks away, Netflix and Marvel have accelerated promotion for “Daredevil.” In addition to recently dropping a new promo and TV spot, the series now has a quintet of new character posters featuring five of “Daredevil’s” major players.

Featured in the new set of posters are Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. The individual posters, which all join together to form one long image, share a setting with the most recent motion poster. The neon-filled streets of Hell’s Kitchen have played just as a prominent role in the show’s marketing as they surely will in the series itself.

Netflix has also released a synopsis for the series, which arrives on the streaming service on April 10: “Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero ‘Daredevil’ in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.”
