‘Better Call Saul’ Gets European Release Dates

Good news for European fans itching to see Better Call Saul.

Netflix announced a premiere date of Monday, Feb. 9 for AMC’s Breaking Bad prequel, with the first episode available in Europe at 7 a.m. The release will be episodic, with the second episode available the following day (Feb. 10) with subsequent episodes available each Tuesday at 7 a.m, shortly after U.S. transmission.

Europeans get the added bonus of commercial-free broadcasts of Better Call Saul as well as the episodes very close to their U.S. air dates, which hasn’t always been the case with hit shows that have crossed the Atlantic in the past.

Better Call Saul follows the story of lawyer Saul Goodman six years before he meets Walter White. Show bosses Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould confirmed that neither Walter or Jesse Pinkman will appear in the first season.

"Better Call Saul" Gets Official Release Date

AMC has announced a premiere date for “Better Call Saul,” the highly anticipated spinoff to “Breaking Bad.”
“Better Call Saul” will have a two-night premiere, with back-to-back episodes airing on Sunday, February 8 at 10PM, followed by Monday, February 9 at 10PM. The series will then continue to air Mondays at 10PM.
The series, which stars Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman, is set six years before the ethically-challenged lawyer ever met Walter White. “Saul,” from Sony Pictures Television, is executive produced by Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, Mark Johnson, and Melissa Bernstein. The first season consists of 10 episodes; the series has already been greenlit for a second season of 13 episodes.
“Known to ‘Breaking Bad’ fans as Saul Goodman, viewers will soon discover Saul wasn’t always Albuquerque’s top criminal lawyer,” said AMC president Charlie Collier. “Huge thanks to Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, Bob Odenkirk, our partners at Sony and the entire team. We’re thrilled to be cooking together again.”
The premiere of “Better Call Saul” will follow the mid-season premiere of “Walking Dead,” which will air February 8 at 9PM.
