Tom Cavanagh Talks FLASH’S Speed Force!

Fans who are wondering just when we would start to hear about the Speed Force on The Flash are in for a treat: it’s definitely coming, and it sound like we’ll hear plenty about it by the end of the season, as Barry Allen and Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne struggle to control it.

That’s according to Tom Cavanagh, who plays the Reverse Flash on the hit show.

“If you know the Speed Force, it’s fair to say that Barry’s abilities come from a positive culling of the Speed Force,” Cavanagh told Entertainment Weekly. “Reverse Flash’s abilities come from what Barry would call a negative culling of the Speed Force. Truthfully, the Speed Force is important to both of them accomplishing their goals and the Speed Force doesn’t separate. As they fight towards what they really want — or think they want — they are going to have to take advantage of that Speed Force. I say, ‘think they want,’ because if you’re familiar with the mythology, what Barry needs and what Barry thinks he wants aren’t always the same thing.”

Of course, that last bit of the quote sounds a lot like a reference to Flashpoint, a story in which Barry traveled back in time to save his mother from being murdered by the Reverse Flash, only to discover that doing so did massive damage to the timestream and made the world a much worse place.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

New THE FLASH Set Photos Reveal SERIOUS SPOILERS !!

Big spoiler warning for an upcoming The Flash episode, and when I mean big I mean universe BIG!

Some new photos from the set of an upcoming episode of The Flash reveal some serious spoilers!

Let’s go over everything that the photos below reveal about what is presumably the season finale of The Flash. The Reverse-Flash can be seen unmasked before Barry Allen, confirmation that he will soon find out the truth about the Man in the Yellow Suit.

We also see the return of Firestorm, but more significant than that is Oliver Queen’s new costume. It appears The Arrow is going to eventually give in to Ra’s al Ghul and accepts his offer as he can be seen here wearing what is clearly an outfit inspired by the League of Assassins. Why does The Flash need their help to take down the Reverse-Flash? We’ll just have to wait and see!

Barry Will Find Out Harrison Well’s Secret On THE FLASH

Last week, Dr. Harrison Wells came out of the time-travel closet and revealed to Cisco (before he killed him) that he was from the future and his real name is Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh). Those thrilling reveals were washed away as Barry went back in time.

If you’re worried that Barry’s time-travel will prevent the show from revealing the truth of Dr. Wells to the STAR labs team, don’t. “Barry is going to find out in the next couple of episodes,” Grant Gustin told EW. “Joe [Jesse L. Martin] and Barry refocus all of their energy on Wells.”

Barry will become more suspicious of Dr. Wells in tonight’s “Rogue Time” episode. Cavanagh reveals that he has been using his knowledge of the future to put things into place. “Harrison Wells is not as dumb as he looks,” Cavanagh told EW. “By that I mean things that perhaps seem accidental that we’ve been watching in the first 15 episodes have not been accidental. You don’t get to come back in time and travel back and forth unless you have a certain modicum of intelligence and have thought things through. What looks like discovery on the part of our dear friends, I would tease by saying it’s not so much discovery at all.”

The Flash airs Tuesdays, 8/7c!
