THE FLASH Season 1, Episode 18 Description; "All Star Team Up"

The eighteenth episode of The Flash will feature an epic team-up between Barry Allen and Ray Palmer as The Atom arrives in Central City. However, that’s not the only big moment in “All Star Team Up” as The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney makes her DC Universe debut as the Bug Eyed Bandit.

ARROW’S FELICITY SMOAK (EMILY BETT RICKARDS) AND RAY PALMER (BRANDON ROUTH) ARRIVE IN CENTRAL CITY; EMILY KINNEY (“The Walking Dead”) GUETS STARS AS BRIE LARVIN — Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu.

Emily Kinney Confirmed As The Bug-Eyed Bandit On The Flash

The CW has confirmed that The Walking Dead veteran Emily Kinney will join The Flash in a guest-starring role.

Kinney will appear in the upcoming eighteenth episode of The Flash, titled “All-Star Team Up,” and will play the villainous Brie Larvan.

Emily Kinney follows fellow The Walking Dead veteran Audrey Marie Anderson to The CW’s DC Universe; Anderson plays Lyla “Harbinger” Michaels on Arrow.

Kinney has been in Canada, according to various Instagram and Twitter posts, since February 5 or so. Earlier today, an unaffiliated Instagram photo outed her as a guest on The Flash.

The episode will feature guest appearances by Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), who head to Central City to get S.T.A.R. Labs’ help working on Ray’s A.T.O.M. Exosuit.

According to The CW, Brie Larvan is a reimagining of the classic DC villain, Bertram Larvan, also known as Bug-Eyed Bandit.  Brie is a narcissistic tech wizard wreaking havoc in Central City.  When Felicity Smoak and Ray Palmer arrive, Felicity recognizes Brie as her nemesis, and the two women engage in a hacker battle for The Flash’s life.

Initial reports were interpreted to say the “classic” Bug-Eyed Bandit would appear in the series, alongside a second, bug-themed villain who was female. Many sites, including ours, interpreted that to mean a character like Queen Bee or the Red Bee, but it seems at least as likely now that Kinney will be the sole threat.
