A new promo for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. aired during the Oscars red carpet on ABC, and it features Skye/Daisy Johnson/Quake safely in the custody of S.H.I.E.L.D., but close to losing control as battles with a desire to let out her Inhuman side!

After discovering an alien city with ties to his resurrection, Coulson and his team destroyed it before the forces of Hydra could claim its secrets, eliminating the villainous Whitehall (Reed Diamond) in the process. But new threats to the world have arisen, including Skye’s father, Cal (Kyle McLachlan), who now seeks retribution against Coulson for stealing his revenge against Whitehall; a disturbing alliance between former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Ward (Brett Dalton) and Agent 33; the enigmatic Raina (Ruth Negga), who struggles with her transformation into something inhuman by the alien Obelisk and seeks vengeance; and Skye (Chloe Bennet), who developed mysterious new powers from the Obelisk but whose lack of experience with her new abilities may threaten the safety of those she loves.

Meanwhile, Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) and Mack (Henry Simmons) begin the next phase of a plan which seems to have grave repercussions for Coulson and his team, who are unaware that there’s another mysterious force moving against them. And as Hunter (Nick Blood) is forced to make the biggest choice of his life, Coulson will find his mission threatened by this shocking endgame. In the midseason premiere, “Epidemic,” Coulson’s team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s midst.

Who IS SKYE? Look Here To Find Out

Last night’s midseason finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., “What They Become,” was full of big surprises, particular that crazy ending, which showed Skye pretty much becom an Inhuman. Before that, however, the episode may have confirmed a couple of theories that we’ve been entertaining for a while.

This mostly comes in the form of some name dropping by The Doctor. When the Doctor is finally reunited with his daughter, Skye, he introduces himself as “Cal,” revealing what is, presumably, his real name, for the first time. This backs up the theory that the Doctor is actually Mr. Hyde, whose real name is Calvin Zabo.

If the Doctor is Mr. Hyde, that alone furthers the theory that Skye is actually Daisy Johnson, Hyde’s daughter in the comics. However, we seem to get even more direct evidence of this when the Doctor calls Skye “Daisy,” revealing, presumably, her own real name.

This all sounds pretty solid to us, but be sure to check back tonight for our interview with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, in which we talk about all of tonight’s revelations.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D | Alien Species Revealed |

Spoiler warning for a future Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD reveal, though this information is being offered up by one of the show’s executive producers, Jeffrey Bell.
Not that many of us didn’t already suspect this particular Agents of SHIELD swerve, especially after Guardians of the Galaxy heavily featured this particular Marvel Comics race, but it’s now been revealed that the blue alien on the ABC TV series — whose blood helped Agent Coulson and numerous others return from the dead — is Kree.
TVGuide.com has learned that this morsel will be revealed on the December 2nd episode, “…Ye Who Enter Here.” Bell tells the website:
“Our people [S.H.I.E.L.D.] don’t know anything about the Kree or that there’s a planet full of them. What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?”

With this discovery, viewers will also find out what it is that Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Raina (Ruth Negga) have in common, as both of them seem immune to the side effects of the Kree blood and the Obelisk, respectively. “Some of our überfans think the two of them are aliens,” Bell added. “Or maybe they’re something else — something different and special. It’s all leading to a reveal that’s mother-effing crazy.”
