ARROW News Roundup; Diggle 2.0, Roy’s Return, New Arrow Lair, And More!

Much is to come for Team Arrow and for the rest of the Arrowverse, here is just what is to arrive for the remaining episodes of season 3 and beyond!

Arrow’s future and more revealed at the Calgary Expo:

Marc Guggenheim talks with The Hollywood Reporter on the consequences of the Lazarus Pit:

Everything in the show has consequences, and that’s something we’ve been consistent about, It’s something you will continue to see not just through the end of season three, but into season four.

Get more scoop thanks to TVGuide on things to expect from Arrow’s final episodes of the season:

1. Thea might never be the same: After Thea (Willa Holland) was stabbed by Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), Oliver realizes he has no choice but to place his sister in Nanda Parbat’s Lazarus Pit this week. However, the Pit’s powers of resurrection come with a few serious consequences. “We sort of established very clearly that the Lazarus Pit returns you, but not always in the condition in which you left,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim said. “So there’s a lot of stories to be told with Thea and her recovery.”

2. Roy will be back to say goodbye: Three weeks after faking his death, Roy (Colton Haynes) will return to say goodbye to Thea in the penultimate episode (airing May 6). “Certainly, we owed the audience some closure for this three-season-long love story between these two characters,” Guggenheim said.

3. Team Arrow gets a new lair: Since Lance’s raid last week, Team Arrow has found themselves homeless. Thankfully, Ray is kind enough to offer his assistance in housing the vigilante organization. “You’re going to see them hanging out a great deal in Palmer Technologies,” Guggenheim said. We’ll also get to see one final appearance of the lair in theApril 29 episode.

5. Oliver will reconnect with his dark side: Team Arrow won’t take Oliver’s decision to join the League of Assassins lightly, but his choice will become even harder to bear in the April 29 episode. The emotional episode “is a villain-of-the-week episode. It just so happens the villain of the week is Oliver,” Guggenheim revealed.

6. Nyssa is in trouble: Oliver joining the League has huge consequences for Nyssa (Katrina Law), particularly when the organization sets its sights on her in the April 29 episode. Luckily, Nyssa will have the protection of Laurel (Katie Cassidy), as well as the remaining members of Team Arrow. And through all these trials and tribulations, viewers will get to learn more about Ra’s mysterious daughter. “Not in terms of backstory, but in terms of how she reacts to things and how she’s dealing with life post-[Ra’s offer to Oliver],” said Guggenheim.

7. Team Arrow will soldier on: What is Team Arrow anymore? That is one of the questions the group will struggle with after losing Oliver and Roy. “There’s a real trinity formed between Laurel, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity. And they’re all sort of leaning on each other and they’re processing things in different ways,” Guggenheim said. While Laurel distracts herself by trying to save Starling City and Felicity struggles with her grief over Oliver’s departure, the April 29 episode will “really [upend] Diggle’s world, certainly vis-a-vis Oliver,” Guggenheim said. “That’s something that will certainly have repercussions in the remainder of the season.”

Stephen Amell Teases Next Year’s Spin-Off & TMNT 2’s ‘Casey Jones’ Plus H.I.V.E. In Season 4

Stephen Amell appears to have quite a lot on his plate right now. His hit CW show Arrow is heading full speed towards its Season 3 finale in May, while he’s also just been cast as fan-favorite vigilante Casey Jones in David Green’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel. That didn’t stop him from sitting down for a Q&A at the Vancouver Fan Expo this weekend, where he was able to express his excitement about the new role – and compare Mr. Jones to Mr. Queen:

“Obviously the similarities are right there on the surface, but if the audition process and the script is any indication [Casey Jones] is going to be fundamentally different [from The Arrow]. As a matter of fact, it’s almost like the character of Casey Jones in this iteration of Ninja Turtles is almost a little bit more like the Oliver Queen that people know from the older comic books.”

Fans on the fence about Amell’s casting may be pleased to hear this, especially given Oliver’s penchant for being a little too serious at times on Arrow. Conversation then turned to The CW’s shared superhero universe – including the much talked about spin-off show, due to debut next year. When asked about these developments, Amell teased even more connectivity in the future…

“I would imagine that I would be appearing on all three shows. I would imagine that we will be sprinkling characters in… I know that there is a plan for one character, who originated on Arrow and is not one of the main characters on the new spin-off, to hover between all three shows – and that will be their job, so to speak. You’ll see a lot of interconnectivity next year.”

If you want to watch the whole Q&A, just watch the video down below – Amell even answers a question from Elmo (I’m not kidding!). As for his comments, which character do you think it will be? And what are your thoughts about Amell’s much more light-hearted take on Casey Jones? As always, let us know down below!

H.I.V.E. will play a major role in season 4 according to David Ramsey(John Diggle).  He tells E!, “From my understanding, H.I.V.E. is going to be a big part of next season’s big baddie.  We are going to delve right into why H.I.V.E. hired Deadshot to kill Andy and what H.I.V.E. is all about to begin with. There will be a lot of Diggle’s connection to H.I.V.E. next season so stay tuned.”

Sadness Will Hit Team ARROW In A "Broken Arrow"

While filming Arrow season 3 episode 19, “Broken Arrow” both Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes shared via twitter that they had just finished filming a” very emotional scene” and that it was a “tough goodbye.”

This particular episode airs in April and is directed by Doug Aarniokoski from a script penned by Ben Sokolowski and Brian Ford Sullivan.  The very next episode is titled “The Fallen” and is directed by Antonie Negret with scipting duties handled by Wendy Mericle and Oscar Balderrama.  All of this seems to indicated that someone that Haynes and Amell have shared a lot of scenes with is saying goodbye, possibly for good.

David Ramsey nowhas shared a behind-the-scenes pic on Instagram with the caption “Long Live….TEAM ARROW!.” Could this mean a member of Team Arrow is going to die possibly, but given the caption of “Long Live….TEAM ARROW!.” I think not but who knows what will happen?

We may get more definite clues when Arrow season 3 returns from mid-season hiatus on March 18th at 8PM on The CW.

ARROW Episode 15, Season 3: "Nanda Parbat"- Promotional Stills

The CW have released a slew of promotional stills for the upcoming episode of Arrow, “Nanda Parbat”. They give us some ideas of what is going to go down for Team Arrow, and who is going to rescues Malcolm Merlyn.

Here’s the trailer for the episode itself:

David Ramsey Talks Green Lantern, Suicide Squad, And Diggle’s Reaction To ATOM Suit

Arrow actor David Ramsey talked to ComicBook, com recently and a few intriguing pieces of information popped up in their interview interview. Here’s is just some of the things brought up:

I have to start by asking you about the Instagram photo you posted standing next to Deadshot, and the Suicide Squad. On the post you wrote, “Coming.” I thought Diggle was never going to work with the Suicide Squad again?

Diggle’s a liar. No, I’m kidding!

There’s no secret that philosophically he doesn’t agree with Amanda Waller and her brand of justice with the Suicide Squad and by relation his own wife is a high ranking official at ARGUS, as well and to some great degree, moves along with the way Amanda runs ARGUS and agrees with many of the tactics. Specifically the way there are bombs in the backs of criminals heads and detonating them when they don’t do your bidding. So, that’s one of many things he doesn’t quite see eye to eye with Amanda or his wife.

But, for a certain chain of events, in an episode coming up, he does end up working with Amanda and the Suicide Squad, Task Force X, on another noble mission. That’s the thing. Even, the first time he teamed up, it was a noble mission. It’s the way [Amanda] handles things when people aren’t cooperating that he doesn’t agree with. The mission itself is noble. I think that’s kind of Diggle’s M.O. He’s about doing the right thing with the right mission, so he kind of overlooks some of the things that Amanda does in an effort achieve a higher goal. There’s a bigger picture.

And he’s on a mission with his wife, so there’s that drama and that dynamic.

So, you’re right. He did say “wasn’t gonna do it again,” but through fantastic story telling, he is going to do it again.

Have you seen the new A.T.O.M. suit?

Yeah, I did see it before it got released. It’s just awesome! Awesome. Awesome!

That’s pretty much the unanimous reaction, everybody loves it. Has Diggle seen it?

Diggle has not seen it.

What do you think his reaction will be?

He’ll probably have the same reaction he did to Flash, but he will. The whole team will see it.

It’s exciting because we’re only in Season 3. You’ve got A.T.O.M., Flash, Canary, Black Canary, Speedy, all these great characters and it’s just Season 3. Could the Lantern happen? Could the Green Lantern come about? I mean, it’s only season 3, anything can happen.

Theres been a lot of talk recently on whether or not Diggle needs a mask. Some have gone as far to say they’d want you to be the Green Lantern, John Stewart. What are your thoughts on that? Does Diggle need a mask? Would you want to become the Green Lantern?

Diggle can be a husband, a father, and a hero. He didn’t go through some type of tragic event. He’s a guy who grew up in the Glades, which is the hood, he did four tours, and he joined the special forces. This is a guy that I can be, that you can be, that any of the viewers can be, unlike the others who went through some tragic event and compelled them to become these characters. Diggle did through simple sheer force of will. That’s survival with regular folks. I think that’s part of the power this character has. When you cover it with a mask, he becomes something. That’s why in general we’ve been struggling with, “How do we give Diggle a mask of any sort?” Obviously, he’s out in the open, he has a wife and a child to protect, there’s a fair question about how we protect that identity and still keep him out in the field. That’s a very fair question and we’re working on it.

Now, John Stewart… Is John Diggle John Stewart? I cannot say “yes,” and cannot say, “no.”

Oh, come on!

I’m serious! I do know that there is serious discussion about whether or not this guy becomes John Stewart. But, I mean, I’ll say this: it is top secret. David Ramsey has asked them, and they’re like, “we’re working on some stuff.” If that’s the case, it’s gonna be huge. This is the stuff they want to avoid. I think they don’t want anybody to know yet and they haven’t even told me. They have told me that they are thinking about it and they are considering it. Greg Berlanti told me that. Andrew and Marc have told me that. I haven’t spoken to Geoff Johns about it, yet. But that’s the word from people directly involved in Arrow- that they’re working on something.

Here’s the truth of it: if I knew, I would tell you I knew and I’m not at liberty to tell you that. I probably wouldn’t tell you anyway! I would at least tell you that I know. But I honestly do not know.
