New BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Synopsis Teases Another Threat IS Coming

Collider has just released the seemingly first official story synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Though it’s understandably fairly light on specific plot details, it does confirm that a villain/villains will take advantage of the superhero showdown and launch some kind of global attack of their own. This “new threat” is most likely engineered by Lex Luthor, who may have had a hand in setting the Dark Knight and the Man Of Steel at each other’s throats in the first place. But that’s just a theory! Have a read of the synopsis for yourselves and see what you think.

“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the highly-anticipated action adventure starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on March 25th, 2016; Suicide Squad on August 5th, 2016; Wonder Woman – June 23rd, 2017; Justice League – November 17th, 2017; The Flash – March 23rd, 2018; Aquaman – July 27th, 2018; Shazam – April 5th, 2019; Justice League 2 – June 14th, 2019; Cyborg – April 3rd, 2020; Green Lantern – June 19th, 2020.

Henry Cavill Talks BATMAN V SUPERMAN, Close Up of The Batmobile, Wonder Woman, And Batsuit

In a recent interview, Henry Cavill has clarified that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is NOT a Man of Steel sequel. Seems plain as day, but many people have been clinging to the belief Batman v Superman is a sequel to Man of Steel.

MTV’s Josh Horowitz referred to it as a Superman sequel and Cavill quickly corrected him. “I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel,” Cavill told Horowitz at CinemaCon 2015. “This is Batman v Superman, so it is a separate entity all together. It’s introducing the Batman (Ben Affleck) character and expanding upon the universe. Which was kicked off by Man of Steel.

Cavill thinks the film could experience some changes when it is edited in post but as of right now it is “definitely an introduction of the character (Batman), and ultimately the introduction of Justice League.”

Listen to Henry’s comments in the video below.

Collider shared a bit of their interview with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. While the two were in town to promote their upcoming Guy Ritchie film, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as a huge fan of Man of Steel I had to also talk to Cavill about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While I knew he’d be guarded, I needed to try.As you’ll see in the video below, Collider started by trying to get Cavill to confirm he’d be at Comic-Con and then they attempted to ask about the experience of making Batman v Superman and how it differed from Man of Steel. However, that went nowhere. But after they asked that question, Collider handed the interview over to Armie Hammer who then proceeded to ask Cavill his own Batman v Superman questions.

Plot Details For BATMAN V SUPERMAN Plus New Textless AQUAMAN Image Released

A new small breakdown of the film’s central conflict, “why are Batman and Superman embroiled in a fight?”, has been released.  Director Zack Snyder‘s mega movie doesn’t open for another solid year but Badass Digest details how this film differs from The Dark Knight Returns (which has Superman working for the government and gives Batman the advantage over him):

In Batman v Superman Superman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world’s governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation… at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlike The Dark Knight Returns, Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor’s bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batman will be able to point to Superman and say, “He started it!”

That “he started it” business could make things exceptionally hard on Superman considering the fact that his last big brawl in Metropolis involved a considerable amount of collateral damage.

Also thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally have an official (after plenty of fan-made efforts) version of Aquaman’s character portrait minus the “Unite The Seven” tag. It obviously doesn’t reveal too much more than what we’ve already seen.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016 and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy and Jeremy Irons alongside Jesse Eisenberg.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: "It’s Cinematic History" Says Henry Cavill

Henry Cavill News have come across a recent interview with Man of Steel star Henry Cavill, and in it he talks more about next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Asked about what moviegoers should expect from the movie, he said: “It’s Zack Snyder, so it’s going to be a visual spectical and it’s cinematic history. We’re doing Batman and we’re doing Superman, and it’s all happening at the same time. So, fingers crossed it turns out to be as exciting as I think it is.”

As for the criticism Ben Affleck faced when he as cast as the Caped Crusader, Cavill was asked if he had any advice for his co-star about suiting up as an iconic DC Comics superhero. “Right. We’re talking about Ben Affleck here. I don’t need to give him any advice. The guy’s a legend. He does his own thing! He’s great. He’s fantastic.” Fair enough! Will Superman beat Batman though? “I can’t tell you that!”

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Henry Cavill Talks Rumours, Batman, And More!

Henry Cavill was present at a BAFTA party in Los Angeles, and Variety reporter Ramin Setoodeh has sent out some Tweets following his chat with the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star. First off all, consider those Batman v Superman: Enter The Knight rumours 100% debunked as the British actor has confirmed what we all already knew deep down; the movie isn’t being split into two.

There are also comments about how Cavill feels about seeing Ben Affleck bring the Caped Crusader to the big screen and sheds some light on just how brutal the fight scenes between the two got. He also diplomatically shares his thoughts on the chances of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice topping The Avengers

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: New Details Revealed?

According to BadassDigest who have apparently seen the script of “Batman V Superman; Dawn of Justice” have given us some information about the movie itself. The following may contain some mild spoilers, so this is your warning!

In the BadassDigest article it contains this: “If they were to cut it in half, I guess they could cut it at the big Superman and Batman fight, which comes about halfway through the film. But that fight isn’t huge, and there isn’t enough action in the first half of the movie to make that a whole film all its own. And then there’s so much action in the second half as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman battle Doomsday in Metropolis and Gotham that you’d end up with two very, very lopsided movies. It works as an escalation in the full script, but without major additions it seems limp.

There’s one more thing about this, and it could be a small spoiler: Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg, said he only had scenes with Ben Affleck. I’m pretty sure Cyborg is only in this movie as a cameo, and that’s at the very, very end as Batman assembles the Justice League. If they were cutting this movie in two it seems likely that Fisher’s part would have been beefed up at least a little bit.”

So yeah it is a lot of information to take on board but it does gives us an idea of what we can see on the big screen! What do you think of this? Comment down below!
