AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D: Brett Dalton Teases A New Direction For ‘Ward’ When AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Returns

Brett Dalton talks here about the changes to come for Grant Ward in the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s second season following his less than amicable split with Skye (or should that be Daisy Johnson/Quake) in the midseason finale.

Grant Ward is a complicated guy. In the first half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s second season, we saw him go from captive to committing fratricide (and patricide) to obsessively fulfilling his promise to reunite Skye with her father. His reward? Three shots in in the side from the woman later revealed to be Daisy Johnson, a.k.a. Quake. Talk about ungrateful! As a result, big changes are on the way.

In an interview with TV Line, Brett Dalton seeming confirmed that any sort of romantic feelings between Ward and Skye are officially gone! “Ward had a hell of a time in the cage by himself for six months, he had some suicidal tendencies, and once he comes to the end of wrestling with all of his demons, he makes a promise – to reunite Skye with her dad,” the actor says. “And that went on for 10 episodes. But her shooting me three times kind of answers the question of, ‘Are you into this? Is this gonna work?’ It was a big statement for her to make.” The actor then went on to talk about a “new chapter” for Ward, and seeing where things go from here – especially with the deranged and confused Agent 33 at his side – should make for interesting viewing!

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D | Alien Species Revealed |

Spoiler warning for a future Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD reveal, though this information is being offered up by one of the show’s executive producers, Jeffrey Bell.
Not that many of us didn’t already suspect this particular Agents of SHIELD swerve, especially after Guardians of the Galaxy heavily featured this particular Marvel Comics race, but it’s now been revealed that the blue alien on the ABC TV series — whose blood helped Agent Coulson and numerous others return from the dead — is Kree.
TVGuide.com has learned that this morsel will be revealed on the December 2nd episode, “…Ye Who Enter Here.” Bell tells the website:
“Our people [S.H.I.E.L.D.] don’t know anything about the Kree or that there’s a planet full of them. What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?”

With this discovery, viewers will also find out what it is that Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Raina (Ruth Negga) have in common, as both of them seem immune to the side effects of the Kree blood and the Obelisk, respectively. “Some of our überfans think the two of them are aliens,” Bell added. “Or maybe they’re something else — something different and special. It’s all leading to a reveal that’s mother-effing crazy.”
