Junkie XL Teases BATMAN V SUPERMAN Trailer

Following last fall’s announcement that composers Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL were teaming up to score “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Junkie XL has issued a few glimpses at his research for the film on his personal Twitter account.

Zimmer and Junkie XL will craft separate themes, with Zimmer tackling Superman and Junkie XL taking on Batman. This won’t be the their first collaborative effort; while Zimmer scored both 2013’s “Man of Steel” and 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises,” Junkie XL worked on both to provide additional music and rhythm design. The tweets below show Junkie XL prepping to score Batman’s theme by catching up on the Dark Knight’s cinematic history and 75 years of comic book lore.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter. The film, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer’s screenplay, and directed by Zack Snyder, hits March 25, 2016!

Jesse Eisenberg Talks Lex Luthor In BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Now that we’ve had an official look at Jesse Eisenberg as  Lex Luthor as he will appear in the much-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (and Suicide Squad), the actor recently discussed his “terrifying” transformation while on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show. “I’ve never been able to touch my scalp,” Eisenberg said of cutting his hair for the first time. “Yes it’s freezing. It’s really strange. You know, it’s the kind of thing where you feel like ‘I can really damage myself.’ You wanna wear a helmet. It’s terrifying, it’s terrifying.” Later during the interview, Meyers brought up an old Batman v Superman set photo featuring Jesse Eisenberg covering with a head covering. “You’d think there would be something more threatening than the floral arrangement [on my head]. Everything is like shrouded in secrecy and the people are shrouded in bandannas. You know, Superman, Henry Cavill, in like baggy sweatpants.” Watch the full interview below.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN Trailer Attached MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

The first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will indeed debut alongside Mad Max: Fury Road. That’s set to be released on May 15th, a date which would ensure that our first look at the highly anticipated 2016 movie (which is now less than a year away from being released) wouldn’t be overshadowed by the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron or the second Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser.

The first footage for “Batman v. Superman” was unveiled last year at Comic-Con, a year after the project was announced as a sequel to 2013’s “Man of Steel.”

Zack Snyder is directing from Chris Terrio’s script, from a story by Snyder and David S. Goyer. The cast includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons.

“Batman v. Superman” is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2016.

Plot Details For BATMAN V SUPERMAN Plus New Textless AQUAMAN Image Released

A new small breakdown of the film’s central conflict, “why are Batman and Superman embroiled in a fight?”, has been released.  Director Zack Snyder‘s mega movie doesn’t open for another solid year but Badass Digest details how this film differs from The Dark Knight Returns (which has Superman working for the government and gives Batman the advantage over him):

In Batman v Superman Superman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world’s governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation… at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlike The Dark Knight Returns, Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor’s bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batman will be able to point to Superman and say, “He started it!”

That “he started it” business could make things exceptionally hard on Superman considering the fact that his last big brawl in Metropolis involved a considerable amount of collateral damage.

Also thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally have an official (after plenty of fan-made efforts) version of Aquaman’s character portrait minus the “Unite The Seven” tag. It obviously doesn’t reveal too much more than what we’ve already seen.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016 and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy and Jeremy Irons alongside Jesse Eisenberg.

First Look At Jesse Eisenberg As Lex Luthor For BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE!!

Entertainmnet Weekly has released our first look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor for the upcoming Batman V Superman!!  Details on Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (due March 25, 2016) have been scarcer than kryptonite. We know that a cameo by Aquaman sets up 2017’s Justice League and that Wonder Woman has a sizable role. And now we have our first glimpse of Jesse Eisenberg as one of comics’ greatest bad guys: Lex Luthor. “He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure,” says Snyder, “other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”

Eisenberg might not be the first person you’d think of to play the supervillain, but he did have experience portraying a morally challenged billionaire in The Social Network. And this edition of the follicularly challenged megalomaniac taps into a similar hyperintelligence mixed with malignant straight shooting. “Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake,” says Snyder. “He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”

Gal Gadot Talks WONDER WOMAN, Her Reaction To Being Casted, Preparation, And More!

Gal Gadot has come under fire from most comic-book fans for being cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. SuperHeroHype Forums member ‘omermer’ translated an interview with Gal Gadot from Israel in which she talks about learning she was cast as Wonder Woman, the reactions, her preparation and what we can expect from the character.

When she got the official notice she got Wonder Woman she was in the clouds. Literarily. She was on her way to a job in New York waiting for the answer.

Gal: “I never had to wait so long for a reply. It was a month and a half of torture. It was a crazy roller-coaster. I couldn’t talk about it to anyone. On the day they promised a reply I was flying to NY for another gig. When the plane landed I saw I had a lot of missed calls. I called my agent still sitting in the plane with the belt on. She told me ‘ Congratulations! You got the part.’ During the flight I set next to a really nice man. A scientist from The Weizmann Institute of Science. He talked the entire flight about quantum physics. Now, imagine me, sitting on the plane, looking for a little piece of privacy, burring my head between my legs and starting to scream ‘Oh my god!’ again and again, because I just can’t believe it. Then I hang up the phone and he looks at me like ‘what just happened?’ and asks if everything is alright. I tell him ‘ I can’t really say anything but you will probably read about it tomorrow in the paper.’”

Preparations for the role took many months during which she worked with a personal trainer that taught her everything a super heroin needs to know in order to take down villains.

Gal: “It was very intensive. When I was young I was a real tomboy so I really enjoyed the experience. I see Alma wanting to dress like a princess and put on lipstick and it surprises me. I asked my mom if I was like that too but she said all I wanted back then was to play ball, sweat, and scrape my knees.

Interviewer: “When your casting was announced a lot of comic book nerds said that your body didn’t match Wonder Woman’s.”

Gal: “Don’t be shy. They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small.”

She laughs.

Interviewer: “Were you offended?”

Gal: “I’m really lucky nothing in my life was instantaneous. When I was younger I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amused me. The true amazons had one boob so it won’t bother them in their archery. So it’s not going to be like real amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can’t.

Interviewer: “But isn’t it embarrassing that your breast size became a topic of international discussion?”

Gal: “No. After they asked me here, In Israel, if I have eating disorders and why am I so skinny, they said my head was too big and my body was like a broomstick I can take anything. It’s just empty talk. I understand that part of what I’m doing means being exposed. And part of being exposed is being under fire (criticism).”

Interviewer: “Between all this you have a career to run. You are on the fast track to be a comic and action start. How important is it for you not to be taken as just an action star?”

Gal: “I will never take for granted the job I have right now. (she actually said ‘I will never spit into the well from which I drink from’. It’s a phrase in Hebrew that means she won’t make fun or look poorly on what she is doing right now. I forgot the equivalent in English ). Playing Wonder Women is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I can’t describe to you how much I wanted to play this character without even knowing I wanted to play her. I met a lot of people from the industry in LA for meetings. They always asked me ‘what’s your dream role?’, and I never could define it. I always answered that I wanted to play a women that is strong and will be a source for women empowerment. I don’t want to play a damsel in distress that needs to be saved. I don’t like it when women in the movies are shown as the victims. I always thought that if I could send out a massage I want to show the strong side of a woman and how she can handle tough situations.”

Interviewer: “Someone heard your prayers.”

Gal: “Yes, I get to play the strongest most empowering woman ever – Wonder Woman. I’m so grateful and I thank god every day. I want to devour it and enjoy every bite. “

Interviewer: “By the way, what are Wonder Woman’s powers?”

Gal: “She has unbelievable endurance. She is exceptionally strong. She can jump really high and practically fly. She know tons of martial arts styles. She is a strong and serious Woman.”

Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, hitting theaters on March 25, 2016. She will then star in a solo Wonder Woman movie on June 23, 2017, before joining the Justice League on November 10, 2017. Justice League: Part Two is also scheduled for June 14, 2019.

This interview and the one before it were translated from Hebrew. Special thanks to Superherohype member Omermer for the translation. You can read the whole interview here and here.

Jeremy Irons Talks BATMAN V SUPERMAN Script

Jeremy Irons attended the Lucca Film Festival and while he was there he was of course asked about Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Irons is laying Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth in Warner Bros. big-budget comic book movie and this time last year he said the Batman v Superman script was not complete. Now that filming is done with he can now share his thoughts on the complete script. “The next Batman has an amazing screenplay,” Irons gushed to reports, via La Nazione. “It’s a blockbuster written from the heart.”

Details About BATMAN’s Role In SUICIDE SQUAD

Latino-Review’s El Mayimbe has struck again! After bringing us three big Suicide Squad-related scoops, concerning the villains, Deathstroke, and the Joker, this morning he’s dropped some serious information about how Ben Affleck’s Batman plays into the upcoming David Ayer-directed film!

According to Mayimbe’s sources, prior to the events of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Dark Knight is considered a sort of urban legend, a sort of boogeyman that criminals fear and that the government absolutely despises. Additionally, up to that point, the Joker is actually the only person to have ever come face-to-face and/or met with the Caped Crusader for an extended period of time, possibly due to him murdering one of Batman’s sidekicks, which makes the Clown Prince a vital asset for Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller.

Due to his propensity to live in the shadows, Batman has managed to become a priority target for Amanda Waller and sometime during Suicide Squad, her team will be seen watching footage of the Bat in action. Mayimbe also teases a bit of dialogue that reveals that Waller sees him as the key to tracking down all “the supers.” This would mean that Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and possibly others will presumably become known to the public after Batman v. Superman.

Whether or not Ben Affleck makes an appearance is still unknown, but everything else about the new Batman sounds pretty great. What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!
