New BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Synopsis Teases Another Threat IS Coming

Collider has just released the seemingly first official story synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Though it’s understandably fairly light on specific plot details, it does confirm that a villain/villains will take advantage of the superhero showdown and launch some kind of global attack of their own. This “new threat” is most likely engineered by Lex Luthor, who may have had a hand in setting the Dark Knight and the Man Of Steel at each other’s throats in the first place. But that’s just a theory! Have a read of the synopsis for yourselves and see what you think.

“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the highly-anticipated action adventure starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on March 25th, 2016; Suicide Squad on August 5th, 2016; Wonder Woman – June 23rd, 2017; Justice League – November 17th, 2017; The Flash – March 23rd, 2018; Aquaman – July 27th, 2018; Shazam – April 5th, 2019; Justice League 2 – June 14th, 2019; Cyborg – April 3rd, 2020; Green Lantern – June 19th, 2020.

Michelle MacLaren Exits WONDER WOMAN

The dreaded “creative differences” bug has struck again. Warner Bros’ said that Wonder Woman director Michelle MacLaren has left the high-profile project. “Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together,” the studio said in a statement. The veteran TV helmer of such shows as Better Call Saul, Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad was to have made her feature directing debut on the tentpole starring Gal Gadot.

The film will continue Warners’ DC superhero universe after Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and David Ayer’s Suicide Squad in 2016, though no release date is set. Now there’s an open director’s chair on a studio superhero film. Don’t expect it to remain unoccupied for long.

Could this mean a change in studio for MacLaren, instead of Warner maybe Marvel? This pure speculation on my part but Marvel are looking for a female director for their Captain Marvel flick. So you know stuff can happen!

RUMOUR: Many Outfits Will Be Featured WONDER WOMAN

Latino-Review’s @umbertogonzalez has shared another DC Cinematic Universe tidbit, this time in relation to Wonder Woman’s portrayal in her upcoming solo outing. If the movie is indeed set during World War I, it makes sense that Diana will go through vastly different costumes as she acclimates to life away from Themyscira. However, will she have certain suits for certain missions? It sounds possible anyway. Check out the details below!

Gal Gadot Talks WONDER WOMAN, Her Reaction To Being Casted, Preparation, And More!

Gal Gadot has come under fire from most comic-book fans for being cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. SuperHeroHype Forums member ‘omermer’ translated an interview with Gal Gadot from Israel in which she talks about learning she was cast as Wonder Woman, the reactions, her preparation and what we can expect from the character.

When she got the official notice she got Wonder Woman she was in the clouds. Literarily. She was on her way to a job in New York waiting for the answer.

Gal: “I never had to wait so long for a reply. It was a month and a half of torture. It was a crazy roller-coaster. I couldn’t talk about it to anyone. On the day they promised a reply I was flying to NY for another gig. When the plane landed I saw I had a lot of missed calls. I called my agent still sitting in the plane with the belt on. She told me ‘ Congratulations! You got the part.’ During the flight I set next to a really nice man. A scientist from The Weizmann Institute of Science. He talked the entire flight about quantum physics. Now, imagine me, sitting on the plane, looking for a little piece of privacy, burring my head between my legs and starting to scream ‘Oh my god!’ again and again, because I just can’t believe it. Then I hang up the phone and he looks at me like ‘what just happened?’ and asks if everything is alright. I tell him ‘ I can’t really say anything but you will probably read about it tomorrow in the paper.’”

Preparations for the role took many months during which she worked with a personal trainer that taught her everything a super heroin needs to know in order to take down villains.

Gal: “It was very intensive. When I was young I was a real tomboy so I really enjoyed the experience. I see Alma wanting to dress like a princess and put on lipstick and it surprises me. I asked my mom if I was like that too but she said all I wanted back then was to play ball, sweat, and scrape my knees.

Interviewer: “When your casting was announced a lot of comic book nerds said that your body didn’t match Wonder Woman’s.”

Gal: “Don’t be shy. They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small.”

She laughs.

Interviewer: “Were you offended?”

Gal: “I’m really lucky nothing in my life was instantaneous. When I was younger I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amused me. The true amazons had one boob so it won’t bother them in their archery. So it’s not going to be like real amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can’t.

Interviewer: “But isn’t it embarrassing that your breast size became a topic of international discussion?”

Gal: “No. After they asked me here, In Israel, if I have eating disorders and why am I so skinny, they said my head was too big and my body was like a broomstick I can take anything. It’s just empty talk. I understand that part of what I’m doing means being exposed. And part of being exposed is being under fire (criticism).”

Interviewer: “Between all this you have a career to run. You are on the fast track to be a comic and action start. How important is it for you not to be taken as just an action star?”

Gal: “I will never take for granted the job I have right now. (she actually said ‘I will never spit into the well from which I drink from’. It’s a phrase in Hebrew that means she won’t make fun or look poorly on what she is doing right now. I forgot the equivalent in English ). Playing Wonder Women is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I can’t describe to you how much I wanted to play this character without even knowing I wanted to play her. I met a lot of people from the industry in LA for meetings. They always asked me ‘what’s your dream role?’, and I never could define it. I always answered that I wanted to play a women that is strong and will be a source for women empowerment. I don’t want to play a damsel in distress that needs to be saved. I don’t like it when women in the movies are shown as the victims. I always thought that if I could send out a massage I want to show the strong side of a woman and how she can handle tough situations.”

Interviewer: “Someone heard your prayers.”

Gal: “Yes, I get to play the strongest most empowering woman ever – Wonder Woman. I’m so grateful and I thank god every day. I want to devour it and enjoy every bite. “

Interviewer: “By the way, what are Wonder Woman’s powers?”

Gal: “She has unbelievable endurance. She is exceptionally strong. She can jump really high and practically fly. She know tons of martial arts styles. She is a strong and serious Woman.”

Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, hitting theaters on March 25, 2016. She will then star in a solo Wonder Woman movie on June 23, 2017, before joining the Justice League on November 10, 2017. Justice League: Part Two is also scheduled for June 14, 2019.

This interview and the one before it were translated from Hebrew. Special thanks to Superherohype member Omermer for the translation. You can read the whole interview here and here.

Gal Gadot Shows Off Her Hero Physique For WONDER WOMAN

As far as we know, Gal Gadot has finished working on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’s still not clear just how big of a role Wonder Woman will have in the movie, but fans won’t have long to wait until they see her again as she will return in Michelle MacLaren’s solo outing for the Amazonian Princess AND Justice League.

Regardless, despite the first official image of her suited up as the DC Comics character, some fans still have reservations about whether or not she’s the right choice to play Diana Prince. Well, hopefully this brand new photo shoot changes your mind.

WONDER WOMAN To Shoot This Fall

Deadline is reporting that this fall will be the starting point for filming of DC’s Wonder Woman movie. They say the following: “Gadot will next be seen in the Fox Searchlight film Criminal in August and in September the movie Triple Nine. She plays Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and then films Wonder Woman in the fall.”

This would follow in the steps of Batman V Superman as filming started two years before it’s 25 March 2016 release, so with Wonder Woman being released  23 June 2017 so it would be in that time-frame of two years. Plus Deadline is quite the reputable source so all this can be true. But Warner Bros have not commented on this so far but we will see this fall if this is true!

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: New Details Revealed?

According to BadassDigest who have apparently seen the script of “Batman V Superman; Dawn of Justice” have given us some information about the movie itself. The following may contain some mild spoilers, so this is your warning!

In the BadassDigest article it contains this: “If they were to cut it in half, I guess they could cut it at the big Superman and Batman fight, which comes about halfway through the film. But that fight isn’t huge, and there isn’t enough action in the first half of the movie to make that a whole film all its own. And then there’s so much action in the second half as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman battle Doomsday in Metropolis and Gotham that you’d end up with two very, very lopsided movies. It works as an escalation in the full script, but without major additions it seems limp.

There’s one more thing about this, and it could be a small spoiler: Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg, said he only had scenes with Ben Affleck. I’m pretty sure Cyborg is only in this movie as a cameo, and that’s at the very, very end as Batman assembles the Justice League. If they were cutting this movie in two it seems likely that Fisher’s part would have been beefed up at least a little bit.”

So yeah it is a lot of information to take on board but it does gives us an idea of what we can see on the big screen! What do you think of this? Comment down below!

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Amy Adams Talks "BVS", Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck And Her DC Future

In a recent interview with Moviefone,”Man of Steel” actress Amy Adams talked about a number of things concerning the much talked about sequel to “MoS”, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, plus other things also.

When asked about Ben Affleck’s interpretation of Batman she responded with “He’s hot! Sorry, Jen. I have the utmost respect for your relationship, but he looks fantastic. And the work that I did with him, I think it’s going to be great.” Now ignore the whole hotness part and it would seem that the controversial casting of the Caped Crusader is paying off!!

Adams goes on to talk about Gal Gadot and how it was fantastic: “It was fantastic. I didn’t get to work with Gal that much but just having another girl on set, when I did get to work with her, was so much fun. That kind of energy was great. I worked away with the people that I worked with before, which was wonderful.” This would go with her previous comment on Wonder Woman’s costume too, “I will say that Gal looks really, really good in that costume. I was like, really? They make them like you? That’s awesome… For you. I’m really happy for you. Not so much for me. But, Lois is a mortal.” So clearly whenever we see Lois and Diana(Wonder Woman) together, Gal would done the Wonder Woman costume.

Following these remarks Adams drops us with some interesting piece of knowledge about her future in this whole DC Cinematic Universe: “Locked?!? I’m trapped! [jokes] No. I’m committed through the next one. I know that”. This is probably a clear indication that she will be Lois Lane in either Justice League P1 or P2 or event the unannounced Man of Steel sequel which will happen between 2016 to 2020. Either way Justice League P1 is to be released November 17, 2017 and P2 is to be released June 14th, 2019. So we will be speculating for a long time!

So yeah what do you think about Adams’ comments on this stuff? Comment down below and let me know! Plus it would be awesome if you share this with your friends and followers!
