Daniel Craig Returns To ‘Spectre’ After Knee Injury; Plus Ski Set Photo

Daniel Craig sprained his knee while shooting a fight scene for the new James Bond Sony/MGM film Spectre earlier this week. The accident took place at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire, UK, however, the shoot didn’t lose any time or filming days, a source close to the production told Deadline, and Craig is already back to work as of today. “Everything is fine. We have been filming today,” said an on-location production staffer. The story was first reported in The Guardian.  Movie extras were reportedly told to go home on the day Craig was injured.

Last June, Harrison Ford fractured an ankle while shooting Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Pinewood Studios.

Locations for Spectre include London and Austria. Skyfall director Sam Mendes is returning to the director’s chair and Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Monica Belushi, Dave Bautista and Andrew Scott star in Spectre.

James Bond’s SPECTRE is going to the mountains.

You can see an Instagram post below from the official 007 account that shows a camera truck equipped with snowmobile treads, carrying a camera on a boom to get high-speed shots from a number of angles.

Fans are speculating that there will be a ski scene in the movie, as he has had in a number of movies including View To a Kill, Her Majesy’s Secret Service, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only and The World Is Not Enough.

JAMES BOND: Sony Want THOR Star Idris Elba To Be The Next JAMES BOND

There’s been a lot of talk about the next James Bond being played by a black actor, and one name which keeps coming up is Luther and Thor: The Dark World star Idris Elba. He’s even expressed interest in the role, revealing in a reddit Q&A not too long ago that, “Yes, if it was offered to me, absolutely,” he would play the Ian Fleming creation.

Just like many of us think Elba should be next 007, so too does Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal according to more leaded “Sony Hack” emails unearthed by The Daily Beast.

In an email from January 2014 (so quite some time ago, and an indication that the good stuff in these emails is now reaching an end), she’s quoted as saying, “Idris should be the next bond.” It’s something they’ve thought about then, but as Pascal will more than likely be out of a job soon as this scandal worsens, her opinion may not matter…

SPECTRE Spoilers Leaked Thanks To Sony Hack

When hackers broke into Sony’s computer system, they stole a ton of information including emails from MGM president Jonathan Glickman, as MGM is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Those internal memos contain some juicy information regarding the next James Bond film, Spectre. Most alarming, Glickman is worried about the film’s immense budget. He says it currently “sits in the mid $300Ms,” and wants the producers to cut it down to $250 million. CNN came across these emails and has this bit of additional info, “The shooting period already costs $50 million more than the previous film, Skyfall.”

Glickman provided some suggestions to bring down the budget:

Villa in Rome? It’s a nighttime scene, so try doing it in London instead.
There’s fighting on a train! Again! But use fewer carriages — three instead of four.
Forget the dramatic finale in the rain. It’ll lower the cost of visual/special effects.
Earn an extra $6 million by showing “the more modern aspects” of Mexico to maximize “the Mexican incentive.” (The makers of Spectre are getting paid to film there.)

Glickman comes off fairly sensible as he recognizes that fans of the series expect a big-budget spectacular, but he has to do what he can to reign in the spending. “This is not about ‘nickel and diming’ the production,” Glickman wrote to producer Barbara Broccoli. She wrote back, “cannot find the cemetery or villa in the UK,” and she refused to back down on 4 train carraiges.Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal jumped into the discussion with, “It’s insane and you know with no script this movie is gonna go overbudget.”

The leaked also gave us some major spoilers, so be advised of the following:

The emails also show that director Sam Mendes wants to cast Andrew Scott (who plays villain Dr. Moriarty in the Sherlock TV show) as Bond’s intelligence agency boss, “C.” And MGM can afford it, because they can pay Scott $1 million less than they were going to pay Chiwetel Ejiofor.
A few more tidbits: There’s a “lesbian bad lady.” And yes, we will meet Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the evil genius behind the creepy, secret transnational organization SPECTRE.

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

SPECTRE – Directed by Sam Mendes (“Skyfall”) and Written by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade. Monica Bellucci And Andrew Scott May Be In "Bond 24"

When the official title and cast are announceed on Thursday you can put all Bond 24 rumors to bed, but until then, anything is fair game. Which brings us to two casting rumors that were reported today by Deadline and The Mirror.
Nancy Tartaglione from Deadline reports, “I’ve also heard that Monica Bellucci may be in the mix.” The Italian actress is best known to mainstream audiences for her roles in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Passion of the Christ (2004).
The Mirror believes Irish actor Andrew Scott, who plays Moriarty in BBC’s Sherlock, “is set to appear in the new James Bond movie as a villain.” They believe the Irish actor is looking to make the leap from TV to film, just like his Sherlock co-stars, Benedict Cumberbatch (“Star Trek Into Darkness”) and Martin Freeman (“The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies”). The Mirror’s inside source added, “Andrew was hand-picked for a role in the new Bond movie after film bosses loved his star turn in Sherlock.”
BOND 24 will be directed by Sam Mendes (“Skyfall”), from a screenplay written by John Logan. The cast will include: Daniel Craig as James Bond (007), Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q. The film will be released in the UK and US on October 23, 2015 and November 6, 2015, respectively.

Wait Christoph Waltz Is Playing Who?

Just two weeks after initially reporting that two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz would play the main antagonist in the upcoming Bond 24, The Daily Mail is back and reports that Waltz will play none other than James Bond’s nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Production is expected to begin on the sequel next month.
It was revealed over a year ago that MGM had settled with writer Kevin McClory regarding the rights to the Blofeld character and the infamous SPECTRE organization, which sparked rumors they could appear in future films, and now it appears that could be a reality. Blofeld has been heard or seen in six of the previous James Bond films and was previously played by Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas and Charles Gray.
Set for release on November 6, 2015, the Bond 24 will see Waltz join Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Dave Bautista. Sam Mendes returns to direct the film, which is produced by Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

Christoph Waltz May Be "Bond 24" Villain.

Two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained) has reportedly joined the cast of James Bond 24 as an “extremely cunning” character.
“It’s not immediately evident whether the part’s friend, or foe, or a bit of both,” claims The Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye, who has a good track record in reporting 007 scoops. The Mail’s source, who is said to have knowledge of the script, calls Waltz’s character a “nemesis of sorts.”
According to TheWrap, “Chiwetel Ejiofor had been in talks for a villainous role in the film, but TheWrap confirmed several weeks ago that the deal never came together. It’s believed that Waltz is taking over that role.”
Bond 24 will be directed by Skyfall’s Sam Mendes, with filming slated to start in early December. Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, and Ben Whishaw are all returning, with new cast members reportedly including Lea Seydoux and Dave Bautista.
Walt’z upcoming movies include Big Eyes, Tarzan, and Horrible Bosses 2.
