Title For ARROW/FLASH Spinoff Revealed?

In a report from Cannes MipTV event, Variety has seemingly confirmed the title of the upcoming “Flash”/”Arrow” spinoff series, which has so far been kept under wraps and has become the subject of much speculation. The passage from Variety reads:

With MipTV wrapped, the focus now shifts to the L.A. Screenings in May. Big product suppliers were using MipTV to talk up L.A. Screenings bows that include, in terms of shows attracting attention for WBITVD, “Supergirl” for CBS, “Blindspot” for NBC, “Legends of Tomorrow” for CW, and also “The Curse of the Fuentes Women,” for NBC.

The title falls in line with the one casually mentioned by “Flash” actor John Wesley Shipp during a convention panel over the weekend. Shipp called the spinoff “Legends,” a name that harkens back to the 1986 DC Comics limited series. Variety’s report seemingly reveals the show’s full name — “Legends of Tomorrow.”
With “of Tomorrow” added, the show’s title does not immediately ring any DC bells. If not for Shipp’s recent reveal that the word “Legends” is part of the spinoff’s name, the title might have slipped by unnoticed in the roll call at the end of the Variety piece. Earlier rumors listed “Atom” as the series’ working title; this new title lines up with executive producer Andrew Kresiberg’s comments debunking those rumors.
The “Flash” and “Arrow” spinoff is set to star Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom on “Arrow”), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold on “Flash”), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave on “Flash”), Victor Garber (Martin Stein/one-half of Firestorm on “Flash”) and Caity Lotz in an as-yet undisclosed role, following the death of her “Arrow” character of Sara Lance at the start of this season. Ciara Renee and Arthur Darvill have also joined the show as Hawkgirl and Rip Hunter, respectively. “Flash” and “Arrow” vets Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim will executive produce.

Team FLASH May Find Out Who Harrison Wells In Promo!

There’s no new episode of “The Flash” tonight, but The CW doesn’t want its hit show far from fans’ minds — thus a new one-minute look at next week’s episode, “All-Star Team Up,” featuring guest appearances from “Arrow” regulars Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) and Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom).

Both appear in this clip, but it’s centered on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) realizing the truth — or some of it, at least — of the Reverse Flash’s identity, and wondering what else in his life he should be second-guessing.

ARROW’S FELICITY SMOAK (EMILY BETT RICKARDS) AND RAY PALMER (BRANDON ROUTH) ARRIVE IN CENTRAL CITY; EMILY KINNEY (“The Walking Dead”) GUETS STARS AS BRIE LARVIN — Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu.

New THE FLASH Sizzle Gives Us Another Look At What IS TO COME!!!

Recently at WonderCon in some of The Flash Crew and Cast was there to attend a panel, they kicked off that panel with a little sizzle to give us another look at what is to come in the next number of episodes. From the Bug-Eyed Bandit to a quite literal All-Star Team Up all will come to the hit CW show for the remainder of the season!

Here are some of the things talked at that panel:

Laurel (Katie Cassidy) will also guest on “The Flash.” “That’s one of the most fun stories that we wrote, Cisco’s interactions with Laurel,” Kreisberg said. “Cisco is us. What would your reaction be if you got to meet the Black Canary?” Kreisberg said Cisco helps Laurel with a new version of the Canary Cry that will operate very similarly to how it does in the comic books.

Danielle Panabaker said she’s “really excited” about the potential of her character following the source material and become Killer Frost. “You’re going to see her sooner than you think,” Panabaker said.
When asked about the possibility of Cisco Ramon becoming Vibe, Valdes answered that he prefers to focus in what he’s currently working on. “If we’re filming 23, I’m worrying about 23 right now,” Valdes said. “I can’t say there’s anything in the future, but I certainly hope so.”
Concerning the most recent Reverse Flash twist — that the real Harrison Wells was murdered by Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) who stole his appearance and identity — Kreisberg said Cavanagh was excited when he found out, and is excited about “future plans,” as well. Kreisberg confirmed that Letscher will be back before the end of the season.
Anything Kreisberg can be said about the in-development “Flash”/”Arrow” spinoff? “We’ve announced some of the casting,” Kreisberg said. “It’s going to be like the crossovers every week. It’s going to be gonzo.” Kreisberg said the if “Arrow” is gritty crime drama and “Flash” is heart and humor, the spinoff will be “insanity and off the rails,” and the next seasons of “Flash” and “Arrow” will both work to set up the spinoff.

Marc Guggenheim Talks ATOM And How He Will Be Like

As the first full appearance of The Atom nears on The CW’s Arrow, series executive producer Marc Guggenheim has done what seems like dozens of interviews this week talking about what makes the A.T.O.M. suit tick and what to expect from DC’s not-so-pint-sized superhero.

Now, we’ve got a sense for just how good (or not) he’ll be at the job…

“He’s definitely a sloppy superhero in the sense of all of our characters don’t immediately have the easiest time fighting crime,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly. “I would say episode 19 really digs underneath what does it mean for Ray to be a hero. Is he a hero because of who he is? Or is he a hero because of the suit that he’s made?”

We’ll find out soon enough. Arrow airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Stephen Amell Hints At Future Tension Between The Atom And Arrow

Team Arrow might be up and running again now that Oliver is back from the dead, but that doesn’t mean everyone in Starling City is going to play nice with everyone’s favorite hooded vigilante.

There may be a little tension between Oliver and Ray Palmer, who took over his family’s company and has been trying to date Felicity Smoak.

Series star Stephen Amell talked about it this weekend at his Dallas Comic Con Fan Days panel.

“As for the future, I think there was a lot of truth to the notion — in fact, absolute truth — that Oliver wants her to be happy,” Amell said of his character’s relationship with Felicity Smoak. “We go back and forth a lot over the next few episodes and then part of the problem is that Ray Palmer is The Atom, right? He’s The Atom. And then we run into a scenario in the next couple of episodes where The Atom is not very happy with The Arrow, with Felicity right in the middle.”

Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Arrow: New Synopsis Reveals Ray Palmer Becomes The Atom In "Nanda Parbat"

Brandon Routh’s ATOM Suit

The Flash may be in re-runs (no pun intended) for the week of February 23, but Arrow is strong with a new episode that revolves around introducing Brandon Routh as The Atom.

Following a Tuesday night screening of the fan-favorite The Flash episode “Revenge of the Rogues,” Arrow will head to “Nanda Parbat,” in an episode where Oliver shares the spotlight with Malcolm Merlyn and Ray Palmer.

Check out the official write-up below.

“Nanda Parbat” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

MERLYN IS CAPTURED BY RA’S AL GHUL; THE ATOM SUIT REVEALED —Malcolm (John Barrowman) is captured by Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) and taken to Nanda Parbat. Because of his love for Thea (Willa Holland), Oliver (Stephen Amell) considers saving Merlyn. Ray (Brandon Routh) is obsessed with finishing his Atom suit so he can save the city but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) fears he is heading down the same path as Oliver (Stephen Amell) and tries to pull him out of the lab. Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski and teleplay by Erik Olesen & Ben Sokolowski (#315). Original airdate 2/25/2015.

Arrow’s A.T.O.M. Exosuit Revealed

Ray Palmer, played by Routh in the hit CW series Arrow, will don the suit for the first time in the upcoming, fifteenth episode of the show, titled “Nanda Parbat.”
The character will also appear in the eighteenth episode of The Flash, titled “All-Star Team-Up,” which sees the Bug-Eyed Bandit, an Atom villain from the comics, as one of the threats. The episode synopsis says that he’d been struggling to perfect his suit and will seek help from Cisco Ramon at S.T.A.R. Labs, so it now appears even more likely the characters will literally team-up in costume.

Brandon Routh Teases "Atom" Character

Back in July, it was revealed that former Superman Brandon Routh had joined the cast of “Arrow” as Ray Palmer, who comics fans know as none other than the superhero The Atom. Though simply because the character joined the series, that wasn’t an indicator that he would be suiting up down the line, but now it seems like a real possibility.

Routh took to Twitter yesterday to reveal the image below with the caption, “All in a days work #RayPalmer #Arrow.” The image shows off Routh having a face mold taken, which we can only assume is for his new super suit for an upcoming episode. Unfortunately, Routh likely won’t don the costume until “Arrow” returns in 2015 as the series is currently filming their eleventh episode for Season Three which is almost certainly part of the back half, but check back here for a full reveal of Routh as The Atom in the coming weeks!

“Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. on The CW.
