‘The Hulk’ Was Originally To Turn Grey In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

The following video takes a closer look at the work which went into bringing the Hulk vs. Hulkbuster fight to life in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it’s revealed that the plan was for the Green Goliath to go grey during the time he spend under the control of the Scarlet Witch. A specific reason for that not happening in the movie isn’t given, but it sounds like Marvel decided to keep him his original colour, possibly overruling Whedon’s original plan. Who knows, but as merchandise was made for a grey “Savage Hulk”, it might have been a choice made at a fairly late stage in production.
