New TERMINATOR GENISYS Clips & TV Spots; "Come With Me If You Want to Live"

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have given us a couple of TV spots for their upcoming movie, Terminator Genisys.

When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance against Skynet, sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator assassin, an unexpected turn of events creates an altered timeline. Instead of a scared waitress, Sarah is a skilled fighter and has a Terminator guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger) by her side. Faced with unlikely allies and dangerous new enemies, Reese sets out on an unexpected new mission: reset the future.

Also starring J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matthew Smith, Courtney B. Vance and Byung-Hun Lee, Terminator Genisys is directed by Thor: The Dark World‘s Alan Taylor from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. The movie will hit theaters on July 1, 2015 and is the first in a planned trilogy of films.

New TERMINATOR: GENISYS Trailer Shows Surprising Twist!

Paramount has released a new Terminator: Genisys trailer, and it finally shows what the latest installment in the franchise has to offer. The story looks like it’s going along the regular beats—A terminator is sent back by the machines to kill Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) so her son John (Jason Clarke) can’t be born and be humanity’s savior; one of John’s soldiers, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney), goes back to protect Sarah from the terminator.

We knew that in this sequel an older Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) was protecting Sarah and had been doing so since she was a child. The new trailer reveals that the threat isn’t just another liquid metal Terminator. The threat is John Connor, and not necessarily a mechanized-version. The trailer makes it clear this isn’t a matter of the machines learning how to shapeshift, and that there’s technically some of the real John Connor who’s trying to kill Sarah and Kyle. Now I’m interested.

Check out the new Terminator: Genisys trailer below along with a new image. The film opens in 3D on July 1st, and also stars J.K. Simmons, Byung-hun Lee, Matt Smith, Dayo Okeniyi, and Courtney B. Vance.

When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…

New TERMINATOR GENISYS Stills; Arnold Schwarzenegger And Matt Smith Roles Revealed

Latino-Review reports that Matt Smith is a less of a character, and more the physical embodiment of an otherwise faceless enemy, Skynet:

In Terminator: Genisys Matt Smith plays the embodiment of Skynet. Similar to Helena Bonham Carter’s role in McG’s Terminator: Salvation, Smith will be the antagonist system given form, different from the nebulous corporate villainy of Terminator 2: Judgement Day and vague apocalypse technophobia of the first.

We know that the timeline Kyle Reese travels back to in Terminator Genisys will be a lot different to the one featured in The Terminator, but the recently released trailer for the movie did little to clear up what exactly is going on! Talking to Empire Online, star Arnold Schwarzenegger (who returns as an aged T-800) revealed: “The story has changed, so I am like a combination of the characters who you have seen in the past. He is a powerful and potentially evil kind of machine that can be very destructive if I see that a there is danger from me or for the victory against the machines. I can switch over to being the protector of Sarah Connor. It depends where we are in this storyline.”

The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Emilia Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-hun Lee, Courtney B. Vance, and J.K. Simmons, Terminator Genisys is set to be released on July 1st.

Matt Smith And Natalie Dormer Will Team Up For "Patient Zero"

Since ending his run on “Doctor Who” last year, Matt Smith has been spending quite a lot of time with the undead. He’s playing Mr. Collins in director Burr Steers’ upcoming twisted Jane Austen adaptation, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and now, according to a story at Deadline, he’s preparing to battle the living dead once again. This time, Smith will star opposite Natalie Dormer in Screen Gem’s upcoming zombie thriller Patient Zero.
Scripted by Mike Le and set to be directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky (who helmed the Academy Award-winning The Counterfeiters), Patient Zero takes place in a post-outbreak zombie apocalypse and follows the adventures of one man who has the unique ability to speak with the undead and who hopes to use his gift to discover a cure for the plague and his infected wife.
Even outside these two zombie projects, Smith has not strayed far from genre tales. He’s headlining Ryan Gosling’s dark fantasy feature Lost River opposite Eva Mendes, Saoirse Ronan and Christina Hendricks and will appear opposite Dormer’s “Game of Thrones” co-star Emilia Clarke in the upcoming franchise reboot Terminator Genisys (hitting theaters July 1, 2015).
Dormer, meanwhile, is in theaters today as part of the ensemble cast of Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.
Vincent Newman is attached to produce Patient Zero for Screen Grems through his Vincent Newman Entertainment.

First Photo From "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies"

After years of being in development, the adaptation of the period romance remix novel Pride & Prejudice & Zombies is finally in production, and a first look photo at some of the cast has surfaced online thanks to Entertainment Weekly(via SlashFilm). The film is directed by Burr Steers (17 Again, Igby Goes Down) and based on Seth Grahame-Smith‘s novel of the same name, following the classic romance we’re all familiar with, but with the added complication of the undead putting everything and everyone in danger. Now a first look photo has revealed all of the Bennett sisters in the filmed, armed to fight zombies.
The photo isn’t really an image from the film itself, but rather a promotional image showing off the characters Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Jane (Bella Heathcote), Elizabeth (Lily James), Mary (Millie Brady), and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse). The characters have been dealing with zombies (presumed to be a kind of plague) for about 70 years by the time our story begins, so these ladies are trained to deal with the threat of the undead. The rest of the cast includesSam Riley as Mr. Darcy, Matt Smith as Mr. Collins, Jack Huston as Wickham,Douglas Booth as Bingley, and also Lena Headey and Charles Dance. Stay tuned for more.

Terminator Genisys: More Photos and Details Revealed

Following yesterday’s cover reveal, Entertainment Weekly has debuted some more photos for the upcoming Terminator Genisys, one of them our first official look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming film. In addition, the magazine has revealed even more details, one of which also confirms some long-standing rumors about the film, so with that in mind, we’re going to issue a potential spoiler warning.
First, EW reports that the film will be recreating Schwarzenegger’s memorable emergence from the original 1984 film at L.A.’s Griffith Observatory using both a body double and digital scans of his face from Cameron’s film.
“It’s the holy grail of visual effects,” Producer David Ellison says. “You create a walking, breathing human that doesn’t exist.”
The outlet goes on to reveal that, despite the filmmakers wishing to keep it secret, the film’s villain will be a man-machine hybrid which the’re hoping will be a “visual game changer” along with the digital Arnold.
“Part of the challenge is to dazzle people with something they haven’t seen before,” director Alan Taylor says. “There are elements in our main villain that are straining the capacities of our brilliant visual-effects people. So that’s a good sign.”
Check out the new images in the gallery viewer below and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
The first in a new trilogy of films, Terminator Genisys also stars Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt and Matt Smith. Directed by Thor: The Dark World’s Alan Taylor from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, Terminator Genisys is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2015.

First Look At Matt Smith, Jai Courtney, Emilia Clarke, and Jason Clarke For Terminator Genisys

We already know production is complete on the forthcoming franchise reboot Terminator: Genisys, and now we’re just waiting for the film to arrive next summer. Up until now, the only official photo released came from Arnold Schwarzenegger after shooting was completed, but now EW has given us a first look at Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke as John Connor and Matt Smith playing a new character in the series.(Check Out The Covers Down Below) The new film begins in 2029 and finds Kyle Reese being sent back to 1984 again, however, the timeline is much different than when he was sent back in The Terminator.

As far as this new timeline, EW explains that when Kyle Reese is sent back to 1984 this time, he doesn’t meet an innocent Sarah Connor who has no idea what’s going on. At age 9, Sarah found herself orphaned by a Terminator at just 9 years old. And since then, she’s been raised by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator, a T-800 model who she calls Pops and is programmed to guard her rather than kill. This is the aged Terminator we’ve heard about, which is possible because the material used to make him look human is organic (according to James Cameron). And since she’s been raised by a Terminator now, she’s not the friendliest person, but she is rather skilled with a sniper rifle.

Terminator Genisys is to be released 1st July 2015
