Sadness Will Hit Team ARROW In A "Broken Arrow"

While filming Arrow season 3 episode 19, “Broken Arrow” both Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes shared via twitter that they had just finished filming a” very emotional scene” and that it was a “tough goodbye.”

This particular episode airs in April and is directed by Doug Aarniokoski from a script penned by Ben Sokolowski and Brian Ford Sullivan.  The very next episode is titled “The Fallen” and is directed by Antonie Negret with scipting duties handled by Wendy Mericle and Oscar Balderrama.  All of this seems to indicated that someone that Haynes and Amell have shared a lot of scenes with is saying goodbye, possibly for good.

David Ramsey nowhas shared a behind-the-scenes pic on Instagram with the caption “Long Live….TEAM ARROW!.” Could this mean a member of Team Arrow is going to die possibly, but given the caption of “Long Live….TEAM ARROW!.” I think not but who knows what will happen?

We may get more definite clues when Arrow season 3 returns from mid-season hiatus on March 18th at 8PM on The CW.

Oliver Has Return For An Uprising

Next week’s Arrow promises to be a big one as the Emerald Archer finally makes his way back to his city and it looks like his timing couldn’t be any better with Malcolm Merlyn having joined Team Arrow under false pretenses. Come check out a brand new international promo now!

MALCOLM MAKES AN OFFER TO HELP TEAM ARROW – Still operating without Oliver (Stephen Amell) and desperate to stop Brick (guest star Vinnie Jones), Team Arrow is forced to consider Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) offer to help shut Brick down as Malcolm has a personal score to settle with the felon. Roy (Colton Haynes) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) point out that the team could use some help to save the innocents of The Glades, but Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is adamantly against it. They look to Diggle to make the final decision. Meanwhile, the flashbacks chronicle Malcolm’s descent from kind-hearted father and husband to cold-blooded killer after the murder of his wife. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Brian Ford Sullivan (#312).

Colton Haynes To Play Bigger Role On Arrow

With Oliver Queen bleeding out—and presumably dead—in the mountains, his sidekick Arsenal is aiming for a much larger role in future episodes of Arrow.

Roy Harper, played by Colton Haynes, will have to step up in a big way, both as Starling City’s sole archer and as one of Oliver Queen’s few hopes at survival. When speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim promised that Arsenal would finally get his due in season three’s second half.

“One of the things I was very straight with Colton [Haynes] about is I don’t think we serviced his character quite as much as we would have liked in the first half of the season,” Guggenheim told EW. “I’ll say the stuff that he’s got in episodes 10, 11, and 12, it’s pretty dang gangbusters. There’s one scene in episode 11 between him and John Barrowman that I think is some of his finest work on the show.”

Despite donning the red mantle of Arsenal at the beginning of Arrow’s third season, Roy Harper hasn’t seen too much screen time compared to last season. One of this season’s subplots painted Roy as Sara Lance’s possible killer, but the issue was put to rest fairly quickly. With his named cleared and a starring spot vacated, here’s hoping we see Arsenal suit up more often when Arrow returns from its midseason break on January 21st.
