Tom Hiddleston Talks THOR: RAGNAROK

Talking at the BAFTAs last night, Tom Hiddleston was asked about his future as Loki and whether the character will be taking over the next few years of his life. “Probably. Thor 3 is happening at some point, and the last time we saw Loki, he was on the throne. There are some questions to be answered!” he said of Thor: Ragnarok. As for whether or not the British actor will be playing Loki for years to come, he replied: “I don’t know if I could [Laughs]. If I keep dying my hair black, it’s going to fall out! But no, I love the character. It’s a great, great character and it’s amazing how the Marvel world who people who love films. It’s fun!” Check out the video above for more!

Kenneth Branagh Would Be "Delighted" To Return To Marvel

Kenneth Branagh stated publicly that a scheduling conflict kept him from returning to direct Thor: The Dark World, but the rumor mill cited the old “creative differences” as the real reason. It wouldn’t be that surprising given the fact that both Patty Jenkins (who was originally lined up to direct the Thor sequel) and Edgar Wright dropped out of their respective Marvel projects for that very reason, and although Jon Favreau returned for Iron Man 2, his experiences working on that saw him hand the reigns over to Shane Black for the threequel.

Either way, it would seem any problems Branagh might have had with the studio have been put to bed. The Hollywood Reporter asked the Cinderella director if he’d ever be open to returning to the MCU while interviewing him at the Berlin Film Festival, and here’s what he said.

“I continue to have good relationships with all my Marvel family. It’s a people game the movie game, and although these films are big articulated lorries, they still have to be driven by real people. I fondly remember good times working on Thor. So you always look to repeat that kind of thing, and if it happened again, I’d be delighted.”

Could we see him return to helm Thor: Ragnarok? Maybe he’d prefer to tackle a different character this time? Of course, just because he is interested in working with Marvel again, there’s nothing to say they are — though Thor was a damn entertaining flick and made the studio a tidy profit, so I can’t see why they wouldn’t be.

Chris Hemsworth Talks "Thor: Ragnarok"

Chris Hemsworth has promised that Thor: Ragnarok will be a “big” continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the Blackhat star said that screenwriters Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost are yet to deliver a script for the sequel. When Digital Spy asked if certain events in this summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron will have an impact on the God of Thunder’s return in Ragnarok, the Aussie actor reassured… they will. “Yeah, definitely… they have to, don’t they?” he asked, laughing. “No [I can’t give away any hints], but I will say there is no script for the next Thor. So, I have no idea where we’re going to end up, but it’s pretty big… this one.”

Ragnarok, which can be translated as “Fate of the Gods” or “Twilight of the Gods”, is a North myth that tells of the universe’s destruction and the death of gods.

Thor: Ragnarok will open in cinemas on July 28, 2017 with Hemsworth returning as the God of Thunder and Tom Hiddleston back as Loki. The hero will also appear in this year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will premiere in cinemas this April.
